Legacy Conversations – Ops Mamuandi - 8 Feb 1978 - 32Bn speaks

On 8 Feb 1978, a firefight took place close to Mamuandi, Angola, between 32Bn and SWAPOl, a place where more than one contact took place during the years. Overall, on the SADF side, 12 were killed in total - that is 6 on 8 February with another 2 KIA 2 years earlier and 4 a year earlier. We held a group discussion on the event. Martin Venter, a veteran of the operation, tells his story and the other guests are given the opportunity to ask questions.
