In this episode I discuss two amphibian terrors that are sure to make you cringe. The Loveland Frog, also referred to as the Loveland Frogman or Loveland Lizard, has been likened to Paul Bunyan. A tall tale — or is it? This friendly frog came to us from the Little Miami River, where its surprise sightings have made it a legend in Ohio folklore since 1955.
Kappa are among Japan’s most famous yōkai. The supernatural creatures abound in manga, anime, and other entertainment, but also appear in television commercials and as promotional mascots for local authorities.
