More than 1,000 Kroger employees in southern and mid-lower Michigan will see pay raises, improved health care benefits, and more paid time off. In the first year, hourly wages will rise by up to 14%, with Kroger investing over $8 million in employee health care and more than $500,000 in retirement benefits. The contract covers workers at 10 Kroger stores in Ingham, Saginaw, Jackson, Hillsdale, Eaton, and Clinton counties, with Kroger employing around 15,000 hourly workers in Michigan.
