Mid June, State of the Garden

Right now lots of the trees are starting to fully recover from early spring's defoliation. their leaves have largely started to turn a nice dark green. That lets me know they can definitely protect themselves from the Sun. 🌿

I've got other trees, mainly samplings, that aren't doing as well. A lot of it has to do with drainage. I did make the mistake of growing too many trees at the same time but I'm troubleshooting trees little by little according to severity. No matter what, I make sure they all have water everyday and I watch for issues that need my attention during watering. I am noticing improvement on trees that I've been working on so that's good.

The family has been having fun in the backyard as well. as you can see there's flowers and other things peppered throughout.

As far as my yard is concerned, recently I had to deal with Marsh rabbits by adding extra mulch at my fence line. The bunnies were coming and going as they pleased and basically demolishing my grass. In any case it's much more difficult for them to get in now so they appear to not be willing to put up much of a fight for now. 🐇🐰

I also purchased two new tamarinds this month from my local nursery for a little bit of private research. I'll be posting about that soon.
