AWS Slings : The Best Rifle Sling for under $40

A good quality sling is arguably the most important accessory for any rifle. However, a good sling can easily cost you $100, so scaling that across a few rifles can get expensive fast.

I prefer instead to buy my sling components separately and that way, I can save a little bit of money. One of the best slings you can buy comes from AWS, Advanced Warfighting Solutions. Their two point padded sling retails for $39.99, but it goes on sale frequently for $22.50.

The AWS sling is really well made, has quality adjustment hardware, and really good stitching. They are definitely built to last. They come in a huge variety of colors. This one is their woodland pattern.

However, they don't come with sling mount hardware, so I like to pair these with Magpul Quick Disconnect Sling adapters. Magpul QD sling swivels run about $14 each. Generally speaking you can thread your sling through the buttstock of your rifle, and use a QD sling swivel to connect to the handguard, so for many contexts only one is required unless you specifically want quick disconnect points at both ends of the rifle.

If your handguard doesn't have QD attachment points, but does have MLOK attachment points, Magpul makes a great MLOK QD adapter.

Links to all of these products will be on our blog post linked in the description..

So for under $40, you're looking at a high quality sling setup that is affordable enough to run on all of your rifles and shotguns.

I like the AWS sling because of its functionality. It has a quick pull tab for easy adjustment. However, keep in mind the adjustment is not two ways like other more expensive slings, so that is a drawback of this particular setup that you should be aware of.

Overall though I'm a big fan of AWS products. This sling is no exception. Definitely consider picking one up and I don't think you'll be disappointed.
