Revelation 18:11

And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, because there is no one left to buy their cargo--

Revelation 18:19

Then they will throw dust on their heads as they weep and mourn and cry out:

"Woe, woe to the great city,
where all who had ships on the sea were enriched by her wealth!

For in a single hour she has been destroyed."

Jeremiah 25:14

The Destruction of Babylon

13 And I will bring upon that land all my words,
that I have spoken against it, all that is written in this book,
all that Jeremiah hath prophesied against all nations:

14 For they have served them, whereas they were many nations,
and great kings:
and I will repay them according to their deeds,
and according to the works of their hands.

Jeremiah 50:9

For behold I raise up,
and will bring against

Babylon an assembly of great nations from the land of the north:
and they shall be prepared against her, and from thence she shall be taken: their arrows,
like those of a mighty man, a destroyer, shall not return in vain.

Jeremiah 51:27

Set ye up a standard in the land:

sound with the trumpet among the nations: prepare the nations against her: call together against her the kings of Ararat, Menni, and Ascenez: number Taphsar against her, bring the horse as the stinging locust.

Jeremiah 23:13

And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria:
they prophesied in Baal and deceived my people Israel.

Jeremiah 50:39

39 “So desert creatures and hyenas will live there,
and there the owl will dwell.
It will never again be inhabited
or lived in from generation to generation.

The death that was destroyed was the separation from God that Adam had suffered.

Isaiah 13

The Burden against Babylon

1 This is the burden against Babylon that Isaiah son of Amoz received:

2 Raise a banner on a barren hilltop;

call aloud to them.

Wave your hand,

that they may enter the gates of the nobles.

3 I have commanded My sanctified ones;

I have even summoned My warriors

to execute My wrath

and exult in My triumph.

4 Listen, a tumult on the mountains,

like that of a great multitude!

Listen, an uproar among the kingdoms,

like nations gathered together!

The LORD of Hosts is mobilizing

an army for war.

5 They are coming from faraway lands,

from the ends of the heavens—

the LORD and the weapons of His wrath—

to destroy the whole country.

6 Wail, for the Day of the LORD is near;

it will come as destruction from the Almighty.a

7 Therefore all hands will fall limp,

and every man’s heart will melt.

8 Terror, pain, and anguish will seize them;

they will writhe like a woman in labor.

They will look at one another,

their faces flushed with fear.

9 Behold, the Day of the LORD is coming—

cruel, with fury and burning anger—

to make the earth a desolation

and to destroy the sinners within it.

10For the stars of heaven and their constellations

will not give their light.

The rising sun will be darkened,

and the moon will not give its light.

11 I will punish the world for its evil

and the wicked for their iniquity.

I will end the haughtiness of the arrogant

and lay low the pride of the ruthless.

12 I will make man scarcer than pure gold,

and mankind rarer than the gold of Ophir.

13 Therefore I will make the heavens tremble,

and the earth will be shaken from its place

at the wrath of the LORD of Hosts

on the day of His burning anger.

14 Like a hunted gazelle,

like a sheep without a shepherd,

each will return to his own people,

each will flee to his native land.

15 Whoever is caught will be stabbed,

and whoever is captured will die by the sword.

16 Their infants will be dashed to pieces

before their eyes,

their houses will be looted,

and their wives will be ravished.

17 Behold, I will stir up against them the Medes,

who have no regard for silver

and no desire for gold.

18 Their bows will dash young men to pieces;

they will have no mercy on the fruit of the womb;

they will not look with pity on the children.

19 And Babylon, the jewel of the kingdoms,

the glory of the pride of the Chaldeans,

will be overthrown by God

like Sodom and Gomorrah.

20 She will never be inhabited

or settled from generation to generation;

no nomad will pitch his tent there,

no shepherd will rest his flock there.

21 But desert creatures will lie down there,

and howling creatures will fill her houses.

Ostrichesb will dwell there,

and wild goats will leap about.

22 Hyenas will howl in her fortresses

and jackalsc in her luxurious palaces.

Babylon’s time is at hand,

and her days will not be prolonged.

There's Nothing New in the book of Revelation

The rule for symbolizing Scripture interprets scripture if you cannot find similar or same usage elsewhere in the text then I do not have warrant to symbolize it.
If the writers of the bible use a word or phrase a certain way in a certain context,
then I do not have the right to import a different meaning to that usage, unless necessitated by the context

King Nebuchadnezzar II's

building program at Babylon used around 15,000,000 baked bricks. Thousands bore his name and titles stamped into the clay: "Nebuchadnezzar...

the eldest son of Nabopolassar, King of Babylon, am I".

On this brick, a workman wrote his own name "Zabibna",
using the Aramaic alphabet. From Babylon, southern Mesopotamia, Iraq.

Romans 9:29

It is just as Isaiah foretold:

"Unless the Lord of Hosts had left us descendants, we would have become like Sodom, we would have resembled Gomorrah."

Deuteronomy 29

24 So all the nations will ask, ‘Why has the LORD done such a thing to this land? Why this great outburst of anger?’

25 And the people will answer, ‘It is because they abandoned the covenant of the LORD, the God of their fathers,
which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt.

26 They went and served other gods, and they worshiped gods they had not known—gods that the LORD had not given to them.

27 Therefore the anger of the LORD burned against this land, and He brought upon it every curse written in this book.

28 The LORD uprooted them from their land in His anger, rage, and great wrath, and He cast them into another land, where they are today.’

The Vision of the Horses

7On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, the month of Shebat,a in the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Zechariah son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo.

8I looked out into the night and saw a man riding on a red horse. He was standing among the myrtle trees in the hollow, and behind him were red, sorrel, and white horses.

9“What are these, my lord?” I asked.

And the angel who was speaking with me replied,
“I will show you what they are.”

10 Then the man standing among the myrtle trees explained, “They are the ones the LORD has sent to patrol the earth.”

11 And the riders answered the angel of the LORD who was standing among the myrtle trees,
“We have patrolled the earth, and behold, all the earth is at rest and tranquil.”

12 Then the angel of the LORD said,
“How long, O LORD of Hosts, will You withhold mercy from Jerusalem and the cities of Judah,
with which You have been angry these ((seventy years?”)))

13 So the LORD spoke kind and comforting words to the angel who was speaking with me.

14 Then the angel who was speaking with me said, “Proclaim this word: This is what the LORD of Hosts says:

‘I am very jealous for Jerusalem and Zion,

15 but I am fiercely angry with the nations that are at ease.
For I was a little angry, but they have added to the calamity.

16 Therefore this is what the LORD says:

‘I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there My house will be rebuilt, declares the LORD of Hosts,
and a measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem.’

17 Proclaim further that this is what the LORD of Hosts says:

‘My cities will again overflow with prosperity;
the LORD will again comfort Zion and choose Jerusalem.’ ”

Jeremiah 25:14

For they have served them, whereas they were many nations,
and great kings:
and I will repay them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their hands.
