The Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm f/1.4 classic lens is nearly 50 years old. Despite the age, I have managed to get my hands on a vintage Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm lens that is in excellent condition. The Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm vintage lens came originally as part of a kit bundle with Minolta SLR cameras. My Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm vintage lens came with a Minolta SRT MCII from back in the 70's. I credit my Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm lens being in such excellent condition to the original owner who sold it to me. He kept the camera and lens in a leatherette untouched for over 25 years in a closet. The leatherette case the Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm vintage lens was kept in disintegrated, but the vintage camera and vintage lens remained in excellent shape.

Today I am adapting this Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm lens to my modern day Sony a7IV full frame mirrorless camera to see how this vintage lens performs.
