Chenda is a traditional cylindrical percussion instrument used in southern part of India. .It has two sides and known for its rigid and loud sound ,used as an accompaniment in Theyyam, Kadhakali, Koodiyattom, Kanniyarkali...ritual dances in Kerala. It is considered as Asura vadyam (Demonic instrument)which means it cannot go in harmony...but I find it unique.
