And while antibiotics are fairly successful with early detection, Heather Lowery, Physician Assistant at the New York Center for Innovative Medicine, explains why antibiotics are not the only treatment option, as Lyme can hide from antibiotics, and their widespread approach to killing bacteria may actually do more harm than good.
