Berlin in the 1920s – ‘The Sex Capital of Europe.

In the 1920s under the Weimar Republic, Berlin became known as the sin capital of Europe, flooded with drugs, sexual perversion and all forms of degeneracy. Berlin transformed itself into the Babylon of the world. Degenerate cabarets, bars, and clubs catering to every sexual daydream sprang up like mushrooms. Censorship was all but non-existent.

During the Weimar Republic era, from 1919 to 1933, Germans suffered from massive unemployment (33%) and suicide was a plague (270,000 suicides during the Weimar government). Hyper-inflation and actual starvation occurred, while many Jewish Germans lived in relative comfort.

Many poor, desperate Germans sold themselves like cheap goods. It was a place dangerous and unfit for any self-respecting German family to reside. Adolf Hitler sought to rid Germany of this depraved and insufferable society, restoring family morals once again.

To understand the German's we must understand their struggle.
