Portland, having made a name in many circles throughout Clark County, is a city that has been raised as a big driver for spotlighting the disaster Clark County would see escalated in scale of homelessness, drug use, trafficking, etc, in the wake of a new "super highway" being constructed: Brad Benton has been a vocal opponent of this skyline and has hit out at the idea of even expanding roadways on bridges as he's cited it would only bring about tolls and taxes, both of which are not necessary even with his proposal of a third bridge to instead be built for the Columbia River travelers with an added emphasis on more walkways for travel.

Other topics touched on his experience having being in Portland to see the toxicity of the city firsthand, he touched on his want to run for State Senate in WA state for the 18th Legislative District to avoid its fate with Vancouver and the rest of Clark County.

The Forum was hosted by more candidates and includes a Q&A that was raised by many of the attendees that arrived to watch as it occurred at the Black Pearl on the Columbia near Camas, WA.

This took place on June 20th, 2024 at 4-10 pm on Thursday just after the Holiday of Juneteenth in WA state in Clark County.
