Kathryn Beaumont was the performer of both Alice in Alice in Wonderland and Wendy Darling in Peter Pan. She had been a child actress with an MGM contract after World War II and this brought her to the attention of Walt Disney for the role of Alice. For both roles she supplied both the voice and live action. She also appeared as these characters in TV specials and promotional tours.

She retired from acting in the late 1950's and eventually became an elementary school teacher for 36 years.

In the early 1980's she was brought in to voice Wendy and Alice for the updated Fantasyland rides. She continued voicing these characters off and on in various venues until the early 2000's. She initially recorded the dialog of adult Wendy in the 2002 film Return to Neverland but her performance was them re-recorded by another actress.

While she no longer voices Wendy or Alice, she occasionally returns for special projects.

Kathryn Beaumont was made a Disney Legend in 1998. She's the only surviving cast member of Alice in Wonderland.
