Officer as Kayleigh Cooper tried stopping a 24-year-old man and woman who were suspected of shoplifting.

When they refused to get out of the car and drove off, Cooper fired her gun at the fleeing car.

Michael Campagna and Megan O’Brien were later arrested on shoplifting charges.

Cranston, Rhode Island police say they will also be charged with felony assault and assault on a police officer.

It’s unclear if this alleged ‘assault’ is what is shown in the video.
