The HandExtruder is a manual device for formulating small samples (0.25mL-2.0mL) of liposomes and lipopolyplexes. It operates by pushing the sample back and forth between syringes through a membrane, quickly producing uniform samples in 5-10 passes. It has minimal dead volume, is easy to clean, and can be sterilized, with optional temperature control.
