Now you're thinking with portals! | Doom Mapping

Here we have 2 floors, room over room. Portals don't like 3D floors, they don't play well together, so putting a 3D floor on top of a portal or vice versa is catastrophic. Not a desired outcome. To fix this just make the entire second floor a separate part of the map that the player is teleported to via massive horizontal portal. Now you can make your seamless portal to oblivion without the broken visuals.

Note: There is 1 3D floor on this map. Can you spot it?
