the boys episode 4 butcher is not doing well or is he so last week more so this week we saw something slithering under butcher's skin whatever it is it does not look good a potential side effect of temp V his cancer both we know butcher was diagnosed with a brain tumor but then we learned this week that he used compound V to help fight it now using compound V to fight cancer is interesting because this is almost the exact same plot as one of the episodes from the boy spin-off animated series diabolical where John gives sun he compound V to help fight her cancer causing the cancer itself to become a sentient love crafty and tentacle creature and in this episode butcher tears apart Ezekiel but has no memory of it that's because butcher's cancer is now a breathing living sentient entity it's going to be a massive headache by the end of this season heck maybe Newman's daughter is suffering from the same thing and the opening scene with the tentacles is actually foreshadowing later in the season
