There are many people all around us who suffer in silence. They agonize alone even among families. Those who are believers in Christ are among the many and there are countless scenarios.

There are young and old who have been in severe trial from childhood and others who have found themselves in painful scenarios later on in life. Their afflictions produce a heart cry to God that has a certain sound. What seems easy to the rest of Christendom is not their experience. In fact it only ostracizes them greatly.

There is something different about these that distinguish those that suffer as believers. Their pain and distress locks them onto the Lord because their severities are like the "irons that entered into Joseph's soul."

Job wrestled in prayer to God and with religious, "miserable comforters," who knew nothing at all but condemnation. Job said things that only those who have "gone down to the sides of the pit" can say. Thomas in a violent way said "unless he saw the prints of the nails and put his finger in them, and could thrust his hand into Jesus side, he would not believe."

God not only answered Job in array of almighty splendor of His power, He magnificently and doubly restored him. Jesus appeared eight days later especially for Thomas. He stretched forth His hand to show him the scars and said to him, "reach forth thy hand." How beautiful!

When you reach forth your hand in prayer, the hand of Jesus Christ will be stretched out to you. You can rely on the King of Love Jesus Christ. He WILL answer you and "shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain." 2 Samuel 23:4.

"I note that some whom I greatly love and esteem, who are, in my judgment, among the very choicest of God's people, nevertheless, travel most of the way to heaven by night." ~ Charles Spurgeon
