Description
Lavameal from Eifel Primordial Rock is the highest-quality primordial rock meal available in the market. In collaboration with soil specialists, a unique lavameal has been developed with the highest concentration of minerals in the market and the best processing properties. Lavameal from Eifel Primordial Rock is versatile and ideal for spraying, spreading, or mixing. It is widely used as a soil improver in gardens and is particularly effective in protecting plants such as boxwood from pests. Additionally, this highly rich lavameal indirectly combats horsetail and other weeds.

Intensive use has put the quality of our soils under constant pressure. The decades-long one-sided and limited use of artificial fertilisers has depleted the soil. Mineral fertility declines, and the humus content, structure, and disease resistance of the soil deteriorate. As a result, plants have less resilience, and our food has become poorer in essential minerals and trace elements. Soil cannot sustainably recover through the mere application of artificial fertilisers, lime, and organic matter. The use of rock meal as a natural source of minerals to enhance soil fertility has long been known but has been overshadowed by the focus on modern synthetic fertilisers. Since 2009, Organifer has been committed to the use of lavameal for sustainable soil quality restoration.

Lavameal from Eifel Primordial Rock has a neutralising effect on the soil. Although weaker than lime, its effect lasts much longer and does not release CO2. While lime eventually breaks down humus, lavameal contributes to humus formation. Therefore, you can replace lime with Lavameal from Eifel Primordial Rock.

The volcanic rock is rich in silicon, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and trace elements. These nutrients are gradually released through weathering and are not washed out of the soil. Within just one season, the silicon content in the leaves significantly increases after using Lavameal from Eifel Primordial Rock. Silicon enhances the crop’s resistance to drought, diseases, and pests.

Lavameal from Eifel Primordial Rock improves soil structure and stabilises humus. Together with organic matter and soil organisms, lavameal forms stable clay-humus complexes and soil aggregates. This results in clay soil becoming more porous, allowing for better water drainage, while sandy soil can retain nutrients and water more effectively. Peat soil is stabilised against degradation.

The fineness is crucial for effective performance. The finer the meal, the larger the active surface area. Moreover, this high quality lavameal is easily dispersible without clogging.

Minerals
The finest forms of lavameal, which are comparable to ‘Ton minerals’ measuring < 0.005 mm and even finer < 0.002 mm, immediately interact with vital life processes, with the smallest particles functioning as ion exchangers. In lavameal, approximately 35% of the particles are below 0.006 mm, 28% are below 0.004 mm, and 16% are below 0.002 mm. When determining fineness through sieving, approximately 80% is below 0.06 mm, and 60% is below 0.04 mm.

These exceptionally fine particles have a significant impact on biological processes in the soil and are crucial for enhancing plant growth and soil health. They possess excellent ion exchange properties, allowing for efficient nutrient absorption and utilization by plants, thus contributing to improved soil fertility and overall plant resilience.

Instructions for use
Lavameal is an amendment and remains in the soil until it is converted by soil organisms. Sprinkle Lavameal from Eifel Primordial Rock evenly over the root area of the plant or the area to be treated.

Dosage
▶ Lavameal is very fine, so you will need relatively small quantities.
▶ Potting soil: 10-50 kg per m³ (= 1000 liters).
▶ Compost: 10 to 20 kg per m³
▶ Lawn*: 1 kg per 10 m² per year.
▶ Trees: 0.5 – 2 kg per 10 m² per year.
