Banana Upside Down Cake

Ingredients:
1 egg
60g (6 tablespoons) sugar
130ml milk
2g (1/2 teaspoon) salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
150g (about 1 and 1/4 cups) cake flour
5g (2/3 tablespoon) baking powder
50ml vegetable oil
10g (1 piece) unsalted butter
15g (1.5 tablespoons) brown sugar
2 bananas
Equipment:
20cm (8-inch) small frying pan
Instructions:
Prepare the Base:

Melt 10g of unsalted butter in the frying pan over low heat.
Sprinkle 15g of brown sugar evenly over the melted butter.
Slice the bananas in half lengthwise and place them cut side down in the pan.
Make the Batter:

In a large bowl, beat the egg and 60g of sugar until well combined.
Add 130ml of milk, 2g of salt, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix well.
Sift 150g of cake flour and 5g of baking powder into the bowl. Mix until smooth.
Add 50ml of vegetable oil and stir until the batter is well combined.
Assemble the Cake:

Pour the batter over the bananas in the pan, spreading it evenly.
Cook on the Stove:

Place the pan on low heat, cover with a lid, and cook for 25 minutes.
If you hear too much sizzling, reduce the heat slightly. If there’s no change after 5 minutes, increase the heat a bit.
