NFL player BJ Thompson, 25, goes into cardiac arrest during team meeting, needs defibrillation

JUN 6, 2024. During a special team meeting, Kansas City Chiefs backup defensive lineman BJ Thompson suffered a seizure and went into cardiac arrest. His heart needed to be shocked with a defibrillator to go back into rhythm.

Doctors could not find a diagnosis what caused this sudden, unexpected incident, or perhaps they do have a diagnosis, but it’s taboo to say in public.
