Rising rivers threaten more flooding in southwest China

Authorities in Guilin, a major city in Guangxi province, in southwest China, raised a "red" flood warning signal, the highest level, late on Wednesday (June 19) when the water level of the Li River, which runs through the city, reached 11.8 feet above the warning line, local media reported on Thursday (June 20).
