IN AMERICA THE FAMILY EXPIRES WHEN THE FATHER DIES | PETER HELLAND (SHOW: ISRAEL)

Repost from 18th of June 2024 | Peter Helland(Show: Israel) | Henry Francis Brownson was the fourth son of "the greatest Catholic thinker of the 19th century", Orestes Brownson who is buried under the Basilica at the University of Notre Dame.

Henry followed successfully in the intellectual and spiritual footsteps of his dad. In 1897 he gave this speech at Notre Dame.
In that speech, he said: "We have abolished rights of primogeniture and entails,.....preventing the growth of a hereditary aristocracy, and approaching equality....In our country, except in rare instances, the family expires when the husband and father die. We as a people, have no ancestors, no family traditions, no homestead that has remained in the same line for generations and around which cluster all the family associations and recollections."

He explains, how money interests, corporations, bankers, lawyers, etc. have replaced the family as the basic unit of America.
Unless America quits showing partiality to the rich, thereby sinning and violating the law of God, and gets back to truly serving Jesus Christ and His Word it will perish.

James 2: 9 "But if ye have respect to (rich) persons, ye commit sin and are convinced of the law as transgressors."

Born in Wisconsin in the early 1950s and accepted by Notre Dame in the Fall of 1969, he visited that Winter, where his sisters' class-mates told him:
"We are f'd-up - we don't know why we are f'd-up, but anyone who comes here will also get f'd-up." Returning home he told his Father, - Class of 43' - Notre Dame was too corrupt and it would be a complete disaster if he accepted. His Dad thought otherwise and ordered him to go in the Fall of 1970. He attended for two years - dropped out - and then returned to earn a BA in Languages, yet, he was denied a Master of Theology due to his failure to embrace "critical thinking" in the study of the Bible, works of the Church Fathers, and Western philosophy.
Over the past 40 years, Peter Stanton Helland has studied and taught the Scriptures, even personally taking a 'religious freedom' case to the US Supreme Court in 1998.
