Why Didn't NHC Commissioner Barfield Negotiate for Port City United?

During the budget negotiation, New Hanover County Commissioner Jonathan Barfield appeared insincere about saving Port City United. He criticized Commissioner Dane Scalise for withholding budget cut suggestions but showed indifference toward extending negotiations to potentially fund beneficial aspects of PCU. Barfield ultimately did not second the motion to extend the negotiation period, missing the chance to save some PCU services.
