Description
Phytophthora Concentrate is composed of specific herb concentrates and is safe for people, animals, and the environment. The product supports the natural recovery capability. It additionally nurtures, feeds, and fortifies plants against external influences, in the soil, and at the roots. It has an indirect effect when facing Phytophthora afflictions in potatoes and tomatoes. The solution is absorbed by the plant’s leaves and strengthens its defence system. Phytophthora’s development is inhibited and prevented. This product is suitable for natural gardening.

Instructions for Use
Phytophthora Concentrate is absorbed by the plant’s foliage and the soil. Owing to the root-stimulating and plant-nurturing components present, plants will develop enhanced resilience and vitality. The product is best administered preventatively, especially when there has been significant damage in the past. Ideally, spray with a fine mist.

The solution can be applied in vegetable gardens, on potato and tomato plants by spraying over them. The product is non-toxic and not persistent. It degrades in the soil and leaves no residues behind.

The potatoes and tomatoes are perfectly safe to consume.

Instructions
Dissolve 10ml of Phytophthora Concentrate in 1 litre of water. Ensure both the upper and lower sides of the plant’s leaves are thoroughly covered. For optimal performance, dry conditions are necessary for leaf absorption.

It’s important to ensure overcast weather conditions where it remains dry for at least 6 hours. Do not spray in temperatures above 25°C.

Background Information

Potato blight or phytophthora is a plant disease caused by the oomycete Phytophthora infestans, which is a protist and belongs to the water moulds. (Oomycetes appear similar to fungi but aren’t, hence they are often termed pseudofungi.)

This disease causes tuber rot, and a browning and wilting of the leaves and stems. In tomatoes, this disease can lead to premature wilting. Potatoes and tomatoes are known for their susceptibility to this affliction. They belong to the nightshade family. Other plants from this genus can also be sensitive.

As this oomycete can spread rapidly in cold, wet summers, this disease primarily causes significant damage in countries with a humid maritime climate.
