But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels. To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect. And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. - Hebrews 12:22-24

Paul wasn't talking to dead people here, but to people who are still alive! "YE ARE COME UNTO...", he said, not "...you shall come"; nor did he say "...when the Lord comes the City..." No! YOU HAVE COME TO THE CITY! The City is here already, it's in existence! It is "not by observation", not one you can touch (verse 18); but by the Spirit! It is not a futuristic city! It's here! This is where the Lord rules from!!! Not from a polluted, unholy place in Palestine!!!
Matthew 24:15 challenges our present day theology!
