Rats fed BOOKS at zoo

Rats were given something to chew over when a huge donation of books was made to a zoo - including several novels about their own species.

The rodents chowed down on books including The Children Who Smelled a Rat by Allan Ahlberg, Rats! by Pat Hutchins, and Joe Rat by Mark Barratt.

The thoughtful donations were gifted to Bristol Zoo by warehouse Bookbarn International from the surplus bins.
