Make these beautiful barn stars using scrap wood! A great item to gift or sell, this project was inspired by fellow woodworker @savvybuilds

TOOLS USED:

Miter saw, band saw, pin nailer, sander.

SUPPLIES USED FOR THE STARS

Wood planks measuring approximately 3 feet in length per star.
I used boards that were 3 1/2" x 3/4".
I also experimented with one star by using a 2 x 4".
The backing was cut from 1/4" plywood.

Wood glue, parchment paper, pin nails, hanging hardware, paint and stain optional.

CUT LIST INSTRUCTIONS:

Begin by setting your miter saw at 45 degrees and make a cut. Measure 5 1/2" down from the (bottom) tip and make another 45 degree cut to form a parallelogram. You will need 5 pieces per star.

Measure from the (top) tip of the parallelogram and mark at 4 7/8". Set miter saw to 31.6 degrees. Using a stop block, make a cut at one end, flip, repeat. One side will be cut at 45 degrees, the other end at 31.6 degrees.

Make sure to use some type of additional backing for extra stability.
