Thinking Out Loud with The Lawrence Beat - The 5/1/24 Douglas County Commissioners Meeting.

Here at The Lawrence Beat, our tag line is “Ask Questions/Seek Truth” and that motto shapes our content and reporting, but sometimes, reporting on one topic can lead to some other even more interesting questions.

Take for instance, the County Commission meeting this past May 1st. The almost 5 hour meeting was to vote on the set back distance for non-participating properties in regard to industrial wind turbines being installed in Douglas County. We were there to report on the vote itself, but during that meeting several things stood out to us as…..questionable.
