THE BOYS Off to a Weak Start | Lowest Review Score for Series

The 4th season of the Amazon Prime series The Boys set the record for the lowest audience score on Rotten Tomatoes which corresponds with low viewership for the series.

It is unclear why exactly that’s happening since the critic score has been relatively consistent. However, there has been a lot of criticism for the show abandoning subtlety and overtly engaging modern politics. Showrunner Eric Kripke even went so far as to say the dumb line other creators use when being criticized for making their shows overtly political, “go watch something else.”
