X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse is a beat 'em up electronic game, produced by Capcom and based on the comic books of the fictional superhero group the X-Men, from the Marvel Universe. The game was released in 1994 for the Super Nintendo.

In the plot, Professor Xavier summons the X-Men Cyclops, Psylocke, Wolverine, Gambit and Beast to rescue some mutants imprisoned in Genosha by Apocalypse and defeat him.
Plot

The villain Apocalypse resurfaces and imprisons mutants in Genosha, so pacifist mutant Charles Xavier summons five of his X-Men (Cyclops, Wolverine, Psylocke, Beast and Gambit) to free the mutants and defeat Apocalypse.

They go through several battles against the Magistrates of Genosha and the Sentinel robots until they face the Brood. They face off against Tusk and his robots until the time comes to find Apocalypse and confront him to save the imprisoned mutants.

After stopping Apocalypse, Professor Xavier receives a warning from Magneto that he would cause chaos in Genosha and that his X-Men stay out or suffer the consequences, but Xavier poses two challenges until they find him: Omega Red and Juggernaut. Xavier using the Cerebro, a device that expands telepathic capabilities, finds Magneto in his space base, Avalon and there the X-Men face the Acolytes, Exodus and Specter and soon fight the epic battle with Magneto. There is a final scene ending the plot, where several X-Men appear.
