Doug Talks About: So Much Illness, So Little Knowledge

17 years ago, The American Academy of Microbiology stated, “Fungi are the cause of many outbreaks of disease but are mostly ignored…Fungi can cause a number of life-threatening diseases…Many people, scientists among them, are largely unaware.”
Time has a way of healing all wounds but based on the sheer number of people whom we have lost to our ongoing ignorance of fungal diseases, this wound isn’t healing well. Don’t be upset with our scientists today. As I have long stated, Mycology (the study of fungus) has, for some reason, been all but eliminated from medical training. Since that statement 17 years ago, today’s scientists are finally realizing that many, many maladies charted as “etiology unknown” in their patients’ charts are really fungal induced diseases. Thanks to scientists, we now know that heart disease, diabetes, neurological diseases and even cancers are caused in study animals by inoculating them with fungal mycotoxins. So why hasn’t one of them jumped for joy in learning he/she might win the Nobel Prize in Medicine for logically deducing that these identical mycotoxins induce the very same diseases in we humans? Don’t hold your breath, but do join me from 3-4PM Central Time on Monday to see if we can figure out what our brightest and best have not been able to. More importantly, let’s see if we can guide your own doctor to scratching the words “etiology unknown” out of your medical chart! Tell a friend to watch! - Doug
