Molokini crater Maui snorkel ☁

This is a compilation of gopro clips from our snorkel trip to Molokini Crater and turtle town (Makena Beach) in Maui Hawaii. The coral around the crater was very healthy compared to reefs on the main island of Maui. The front side of the crater had beautiful reefs that were more shallow. I free dove to around 30 ft and placed my gopro at the bottom to get some of the shots there. The backside of the crater was an incredible site. Underwater cliffs seemed to drop down infinitely and the clear water made it possible to see down over a hundred ft. I free dove to around 60 ft to get some shots there. After this the boat took us to Makena beach on mainland Maui to see some turtles. I used a Gopro 3+ attached to a DIY underwater rig with handles to stabilized the shot while swimming and a gorilla pod attached to the bottom so I could position the camera on the reef to get some close up shots. I also used a backscatter shallow filter 5-25 ft to help with color correction. I also used final cut Pro X to help more with the color correction. Thanks to Blue Water Rafting for a great tour.
