Suspected DUI Driver Rescued After Flipping SUV

On 6/16/24 at approximately 11:36 PM, La Mesa Police Department responded to reports of a traffic collision in the 5300 block of Baltimore Drive in La Mesa.
Upon arrival, they encountered a single SUV that had hit several parked cars before flipping on its side. The female driver was trapped and the call was upgraded to a rescue. It took approximately 20 min to free the woman who was then transferred to a local hospital with unknown injuries. Per the Battalion Chief off camera DUI is suspected. The driver will be evaluated at the hospital. LMPD is investigating.
