According to mental health officials 80% Americans never feel "blessed" by both their mother and father. We Christian parents can be some of the worst offenders. Most often it is because we want so much for our children. We often keep "The Blessing" just out of reach! Statements like, "You did a good job...but...if you'd done it like this it would have been better." That's no "blessing!" That's a curse!
What you're really saying is, "you didn't make it. You didn't measure up!"
