The emancipation of modern women is a story that is not clearly understood by the world. It had its beginning in the City of the Saints at Nauvoo on March 17th 1842 when the Prophet of God turned the priesthood keys for women on the earth. This great event eventually led to women getting the vote, first in the Territory of Utah but officially in the State of Wyoming.
