Confused Biden wanders off during G7 summit

As a parachute jumper came into land with a ‘G7 Italia’ flag to confirm that, yes, this really is Italy, all the world leaders were enthralled. Giorgia Meloni enthusiastically applauded. Emmanuel Macron gesticulated as if to say ‘magnifique.’ Even Rishi Sunak resisted the urge to leave early and do a lackluster television interview. And Joe Biden did something embarrassing. Again.

Biden stared forlornly into the middle distance, smiled at no one in particular, shuffled off, gave a thumbs up to no one in particular, and just kept shuffling. Meloni, who being the host had drawn the short straw, hurried over to the ailing Biden to redirect him back towards the paratrooper, who was beginning to give a talk. Biden just looked disgusted, and put on his aviators.
