Massive Fistfight Breaks Out In The Italian Parliament, Sending One Person Leaving In A Wheelchair

Posted • June 14, 2024: Italian fistfight breaks out in parliament forcing one lawmaker to leave the building in a wheelchair. The incident took place over a vote on a new bill that would reportedly give Italy's regions greater autonomy. Leonardo Donno, who opposed the bill, waved an Italian flag in Minister for Regional Affairs and Autonomies Roberto Calderoli's face. Clerks tried breaking up the fight before more lawmakers jumped in to join the action. "Among the various kicks, I also received a very strong punch to the sternum and I collapsed because I couldn’t breathe," said Donno who had to be wheeled out.
