What a dear little girl was our "Bertie Wingster", from the day we found her fallen from her nest!

Our big fluffy kitty had some sort of special enmity with the birds on our home at the time, especially the black birds, which are actually like mini-birds-of-prey. He was staring down this little one, so we whisked her into a safe little box, put on an angel-themed movie and started feeding her. She was with us three months until she found her family out the back. We never have looked at black birds again the same!
