Turkey's Promising Future and Strategic Realignments

Turkey's future looks very promising in the coming years. President Erdogan has implemented effective strategies by strengthening ties with Asia and the Middle East, moving away from the Western/NATO coalition, which has been seen as an adversary for over a century. A significant, often overlooked source of power for Turkey lies in its connection with the Turkic nations, former Soviet states with Turkish origins. This emerging alliance, encompassing over 300 million people, is poised to be a major force in the region. Both Putin and Xi recognize the importance of this new balance of power and seek to align with it rather than oppose it. This shift presents a win-win opportunity for Asia and the Middle East, including Iran. Additionally, it is likely that Israel will also seek closer ties, akin to the U.K.'s relationship with the E.U. as a strategic partner.
