Discusses whole numbers and specifically the even and odd number subgroups. Demonstrates how writing even numbers in their algebraic shorthand form greatly reduces writing and makes it easier to show how odd numbers can be found from even numbers. Lastly, making use of some of the exponential rules, we look at the effects that even and odd exponents have on the negative number unit. In this series, some of the topics and concepts from our new Pre-Algebra workbook series are highlighted.

The concepts in this video are fully developed in the Fundamentals of Exponents workbook: https://www.fatfreecartpro.com/i/134lv?single
