The Fulmar, scientifically known as Fulmarus glacialis, is a seabird found in the Northern Hemisphere. It belongs to the tubenose family, characterized by tubular nostrils on the top of their beaks. These birds spend most of their lives out at sea, only coming to land for breeding purposes. They nest on cliffsides and are famous for their defensive behaviour of vomiting a foul-smelling oil at potential threats. Fulmars primarily feed on fish, plankton, and other scraps floating on the water's surface. They have a gull-like appearance with grey wings, white head and belly. During the breeding season, their head takes on a yellowish tint. Remarkably, Fulmars are long-lived birds, with some individuals living over 60 years.
