The destruction of Earth by "heat" or FIRE had more to do with final destruction, after the reign of Messiah. But there will be heat!
It is mentioned in Revelations a couple of times. 1/3 Earth scorched or burnt up and how his people with no longer suffer from the scorching heat of the sun.
