Acts - Chapter 3 Summary:

Acts chapter 3 recounts the healing of a lame man by Peter and John, which leads to a powerful sermon by Peter. As Peter and John go to the temple for prayer, they encounter a man who has been lame from birth, begging at the temple gate called Beautiful. Peter, declaring that he has no silver or gold, heals the man in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The man leaps up, walks, and enters the temple with them, praising God, which amazes the crowd. Seizing the opportunity, Peter addresses the onlookers, explaining that the man's healing was done by faith in Jesus, whom they had handed over to be crucified. He urges the people to repent and turn to God so their sins may be wiped out and times of refreshing may come from the Lord. Peter also speaks of Jesus as the fulfillment of the prophecies and the promised Messiah, calling the people to listen to Him to receive God's blessings.
