Storm Shield Forecast morning update 5/8/18

Expect Bakersfield to top out at 93 degrees in the sunshine, but then we'll see some high passing clouds late this afternoon and increasing winds in the mountains and desert, and that will help to improve our valley air quality by several points, dropping it to the moderate range. So it will be warm but better today. Expect the Kern River Valley to top out in the upper 80s today with the upper 70s in the south mountains of Tehachapi and the low 80s possible in Frazier Park.
