In late May 2024, Dimitri Lascaris toured areas of the Bekaa valley, near the Syrian border, where Lebanese resistance to Israeli occupation was born in the 1980s.

In the course of his tour of the area, Lascaris visited the valley of Janta, the shrine to resistance leader Abbas al-Musawi who was assassinated by the Israeli military in 1992, and the Museum of Jihad on the outskirts of Baalbek.

In this report, Lascaris offers a brief history of the Lebanese resistance, concluding his report at the site of a recent Israeli air-strike.
