There is a battle recorded in the Old Testament book of 1 Kings between Israel and Syria. Israel defeated Syria in that battle, although they had an evil king. God gave the king that win in order to get his attention. The king of Syria taunted Israel again by saying the only reason Israel won was because the battle was fought on high ground. He insisted they could not win if the battle were fought in the plains or a valley. Satan will do the same to us. He will claim any victory we win is just a stroke of luck and can’t be replicated if we are living life routinely every day or are even presently walking through a valley.
