Lord of the Rings: An Account of Arda in the Second Age - treatment narration

This treatment for a hugely ambitious adaptation of the Second Age of Tolkien's legendarium is my response to another adaptation of that age, a big budget bowdlerization currently airing on another platform. What I wrote represents a rabbit hole I went down, when I asked myself what I would do if handed $1 billion budget to adapt that time and place for the screen. I produced a narration of it for the benefit of a friend who'd rather listen to it than read it--also to get it out there prior to the new upcoming season of that other series to offer a basis of comparison.

This gigantic story arc in thirteen episodes combines what I know from my research into the Second Age with my own wild theories of how things turned out the way they did in the end, adding some non-canonical characters and expanding on the lore in places Tolkien wrote less about in his world.

If, by some miracle, this adaptation were to be produced the way I envision, it would involve stars and locations from around the world. But for now, it's just a fan project, and I'm yet undecided as to whether this was simply an exercise in madness or actually has potential for production in the future.

For now, I'm going to leave it with this narration, while I focus on other projects, but if I get enough encouragement from enough people, I may work on this further.
