1 Timothy 6:10

Love has to do with affection, as in loving a person. If you love or show your affection for money, then there’s the possibility that you might have an affection or love money more than you love a person or people in general and if that’s the case, then that’s what FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL means because it’s EVIL to love money more than a person or people.

When you value something, you calculate the worth of it compared to other things, and whether it’s beneficial to you or not.

We are supposed to value things and love people, not money.
