Romanov Royal Jewels: Empress Alix

From her Boucheron pearl coronet to the incredible pearl and diamond diadem, to Nicky's Tear diamond brooch and bracelets from her uncle Leopold, Empress Alexandra of Russia (1872-1918) had a beautiful jewelry collection. Seized, dismantled, sold and destroyed during the #Bolshevik revolution of 1917/1918, some of #EmpressAlix 's pieces occasionally resurface due to the purchases of #ArmandHammer in the 1930s.
