In our latest celebrity news video, you can find out all about the spectacular legal dispute between David Beckham and Mark Wahlberg, which has now come to a surprising end. David Beckham (49) and Mark Wahlberg (53) have reached an agreement shortly before the planned trial. In April, it became known that ex-football star Beckham had filed a lawsuit against the actor and his fitness company F45 via his company DB Ventures Ltd. The lawsuit was for several million dollars that Beckham would have been entitled to due to a breach of contract.

As the company F45 Training announced in a statement obtained by “People” magazine, the legal dispute has been settled. The settlement relates to an earlier lawsuit by DB Ventures Limited concerning an ambassador agreement for David Beckham. Beckham remains on board as an investor in F45 Training. Tom Dowd, CEO of F45 Training, emphasized that they are pleased to have reached a mutual business decision.

According to court documents seen by People, Beckham had already filed the lawsuit in October 2022 and demanded a total of 18.8 million dollars, which corresponds to around 17 million euros. The reason for the lawsuit was an advertising contract with F45 from 2020, which he claimed had been breached. Beckham claimed that he was promised share packages for the partnership with Wahlberg's company, but these were not transferred to him on time. This delay, which Beckham claims was deliberate, resulted in a loss of millions of dollars due to falling share prices. Beckham's lawyers also argued that the company benefited from the relationship with Beckham and that he was therefore entitled to a further share of the profits.

The case was originally due to be heard in court in January 2025, but thanks to Thursday's settlement, both parties will be spared a lengthy legal battle.
